Course Introduction / 课程介绍

Urban models abstract and generalise urban systems so that spatial phenomena and processes can be examined, compared and simulated. They support understanding urban development, testing future scenarios and evaluating planning policies.

城市模型是在对城市系统进行抽象和概化的基础上，对城市空间现象与过程的抽象表达，可用于认识城市发展规律、预测与情景分析，并为规划政策制定和实施评价提供技术支持。

The course covers urban systems, model concepts, data and methods, software and visualisation, mainstream simulation approaches and current frontiers. Prerequisite: familiarity with ArcGIS or Python.

课程内容涵盖城市系统、模型概念、数据与方法、软件与可视化技术、主流城市模拟方法及前沿进展。选课要求：熟悉 ArcGIS 或 Python。
